Equipment Needs

Goggles are required. Recommended Gear: Swim cap, swim suit (there is no swimsuit policy so all swimsuits, gender affirming materials, & articles of clothing are welcome)

Course Description

Swimming for Fitness is a program for members who want to take their swim workouts to the next level. An experienced coach leads the workout and helps refine stroke technique. The average swim distance is one and a half to two miles (1650-2500 yards) per workout. Ideally, you are able to swim 50 yards continuous to fully participate.

This class will end on August 21st due to the Annual Steam Plant Shutdown. For the last week of classes, contact Darcie.Hill@wwu.edu if you would like to take an alternative class.
