Jiasong Yuen

She/Her, Yoga Instructor

About

An avid runner, hiker and climber, Jiasong was first introduced to yoga in the 1990’s when she was looking for something to cross train with her other activities. She remembers thinking yoga was too slow or easy and didn’t take it seriously until her pregnancy in 2003 when she did prenatal yoga at a studio in Bellingham. She found the breath work and meditative aspect of yoga transforming and calming, and it helped her maintain fitness through her pregnancy and manage her anxiety issues. She took the yoga teacher training program at FLUX in 2025, initially thinking it would be a great way to deepen her practice, not knowing she would fall in love with teaching and sharing her passion with others.

Jiasong is a grounding teacher who is dedicated to guiding others on their journey toward physical, mental, and emotional well-being. She pushes her students hard in a kind, non-judgmental way. Her extensive experience as a yoga practitioner and attention to her own practice enables her to help students deepen their practice. She genuinely shares her passion and the transformative power of yoga with her students. You can expect to be physically challenged, to sweat a lot and also be mentally and spiritually nourished.

Jiasong is a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor from FLUX Power Yoga Academy, Bellingham WA.

When she is not teaching yoga, you can find Jiasong spending time with her family, practicing yoga at FLUX, running/hiking the trails in the Chuckanuts, around Bellingham and Mt. Baker, doing long distance treks like the PCT, and traveling to Hong Kong (where she is originally from) and other destinations visiting friends and family, and connecting with her global roots.
