Kid's Camp Day-to-Day

Campers are dropped off between 8:45 a.m. - 8:55 a.m.

Each day of kids camp will have a mixture of inside educational/crafty activities and outside game/exploration activities. Most of these activities will relate to the theme of the week.

Campers will swim up to 3 times a week (see handbook for more swimming information) and rock climb 1 time a week.

Please be sure to pack enough to eat as campers will eat lunch and have the opportunity to snack during both the a.m. and p.m. portion of the day.

Please be aware that there may be the use of age-appropriate video clips to support the week's themes and activities. These are curated carefully by camp staff and kept to a minimum.

Campers are picked up between 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

If you have any questions, please email us at recyouthprograms@wwu.edu.

Frequently Asked Questions

All parents have until 10:30 a.m. to drop off there camper. However, if your camper needs to be dropped off after the normal drop-off window (8:45 a.m. - 8:55 a.m.) please be sure to email recyouthprograms@wwu.edu. No late drop-offs can happen after 10:30 a.m.

You are able to pick your camper up before the normal pickup time (4:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.) as long as an email is sent to recyouthprograms@wwu.edu. However, early pick-ups can only happen between the hours of 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

We are not certified to administer medications to any camper. Please email recyouthprograms@wwu.edu to work out a plan to meet your camper here to administer the medication yourself.

We completely understand campers having a hard time not being with their guardians while at camp. However, we do not allow parents to walk past the check-in table after dropping their camper off. While it may be tough to send campers off, we try to avoid some prolonged goodbyes that could cause extra strain on the day. If you know your camper may struggle with this, please try to address it as much as possible before arriving at the sign-in table and tell us if there is any extra support we can provide!

We separate campers by grade group so as long as they are going into the same grade, they should be in the same group. However, there are times that we have many campers going in to the same grade so we split them into A and B groups. If you would like to be sure your camper is with another, please email us at recyouthprograms@wwu.edu before 3 p.m. the Friday before your week of camp. No switches will be able to happen after that time.
