Jeanine Amacher

She/Her, Spinning Instructor

About

Jeanine began taking group cycling classes in 2004, while a sophomore at the University of Oregon. She fell in love with this high intensity cardio work out immediately, and continued to seek out classes around the country as her education continued. While a graduate student at Dartmouth, she finally earned her spinning certification and began teaching classes of her own in 2012. Jeanine also taught at UC Berkeley during her postdoc, and is excited to start teaching at WWU! Her family moved to Bellingham in 2017, where Jeanine is an Associate Professor of Chemistry. When she’s not in spinning class, the lab, or teaching biochemistry, you can usually find Jeanine running in the Sehome Hill Arboretum or playing with her kids at Boulevard park.
